Currently, TMWA provides the following services. If you have any further suggestions on how we can assist you and your students in the classroom, please contact Katie at 775-829-2810.
Treatment Facility Tours: students can go on a tour through one of TMWA's treatment facilities to learn firsthand about the process water goes through before coming to your home.
Interactive CD: available for classroom computer use. These CD's were developed to help children understand the processes water must go through to be safe and healthy to use and drink.
Classroom Speakers: TMWA staff are available to come into your classroom and teach a lesson on water, on a variety of topics.
Poster Art Contest: Each year, TMWA holds a poster art contest to educate our youth on watering responsibily. The entry forms are available around March 15, and delivered to all Washoe County elementary and middle school classrooms. Please encourage your students to enter, not only to learn about water and conservation, but also to win a summer pass to Wild Island and a $100 savings bond!
Contact Katie Louvat at 775-829-2810 to get more information on these services or to set-up your appointment today!
